Reflection 5
Sugata Mitra asks if school or "knowing" is obsolete. My students will learn independently. They can write papers through the internet as a resource, discovering new opinions and facts related to in-class readings i.e. Goodreads. This will help. #edc220

Reflection 3
I will be taking feedback as the topic of this reflection from reflection two.
In hind sight, using a word cloud to share specific ideas about an article was not a good call. I thought that using a word cloud would be something new and fun to try that conveyed the ideas I was thinking about in a clear way. Clear in the sense that the ideas were front in center, though they did lose context of my actual thoughts.
To overcome the barriers that the article written by Ottenbreit-Leftwich et al address, I will take my time in this class as seriously as I can. I want to learn as much about technology as I can to ensure that the barriers I encounter are going to be the first variety: lack of resources or school funding. This is a variety of barrier that I will have little power over as a teacher outside of advocacy or maybe lobbying. But when I first start teaching, the best thing for me to do is to have technological literacy down, and to be effective in communicating that literacy to my students.
I can self-actualize by building on my self-efficacy.
